The process of getting admission for a Ph.D. or Masters by research in Australian, New Zealand and Canadian Universities is totally different from coursework programs. Types of research degrees

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.): The candidates applying for this course should undertake in-depth research to attain the relevant knowledge in their chosen studies. A Ph.D. student can easily make his/her career in academics as well as in various public and private sectors. The course length varies between 2 to 4 years for full-time candidates and 4 to 8 years for part-time students.

Doctor of Philosophy, Integrated (Ph.D. I): Doctor of Philosophy, Integrated (Ph.D. I): It is a 4-year research degree which involves 3-year Ph.D. thesis with 1-year of coursework, integrating generic research training and specific discipline course. In 1 year coursework, the candidate is allowed to develop their research skills to showcase better outcomes in the thesis.

Master of Philosophy: Mphil is a shorter research degree to take, in terms of numbers of years of study as compared to PhD. It provides specialized training to the candidates to enhance their knowledge and qualifications to achieve a career in academia, government and various industrial bodies. The duration of this course is between 1 to 2 years for full-time and 2 to 4 years for part-time. It also helps students to gain entry in PhD.

Master of Research (MRes): It is a 2-year research training pathway degree for doctoral students that involve advanced research training and a substantial research project.

  • IELTS /PTE (Minimum 6.5 bands no module less than 6.0)
  • Two Academic references
  • Research Publication ( if any)
  • Research Proposal in the area of your interest
